Broken Bodies, Healing Hearts (private)(dated)

Forte raced through the streets of the city with Theera in the protective hold of her magic aura. She ignored the water hitting her from all angles as the rain only seemed to increase in power; the only thought on her mind being that of finding someplace safe for the one she loved. Her breathing began to grow heavier as her gallop continued without any signs of slowing down.

Eventually, the blind mare found herself in the western side of the housing district. Unable to read any of the signs she was passing by, she decided to just press her luck and run towards the nearest door.

With a loud bang, Forte slammed the door of the building open.

"I need somepony's help right now! Please, anypony!" She called loudly into the building in hopes of finding anyone who could help Theera. Her magic began to flicker slightly as exhaustion slowly caught up to her. "Please!"

Theera woke up for a moment. She tasted the blood in her mouth, felt the rain pattering on her skin, the wind blowing and the heavy Pain in her body. She opened one eye and saw Forte was carrying her with her magic. She looked a bit exhausted, but she seemed to ignore that.

This pony was saving her, even if She was suffering by the strain. This pony was the one who was caring about her. This was the pony who loved her. Theera couldn´t believe the luck she had meeting Forte.

Some day i will do the same thing for you was her last thought before she passed out again.

Serpent was having a relatively boring day. With her patients being, well, critically injured, she really didn't have much to do. So, she merely sat on a chair in her living room, looking out one of her windows.

Then, a pony decided to burst through her door and scream... for help. Well, not the first time that's happened this week for Serpent. So, she looked toward the pony standing in her doorway. "There's no need to yell, hun. Just come inside, and tell me what happened," she said in her usual, soft and smooth voice.

She stood as she said this, moving toward the new pony, and the pony she held within her magical grasp. The holder looked exhausted upon first glance; the held looked broken. It was a mere four yards between where she had once sat, and the doorway.

Forte moved to take a step forward, stumbling slightly on her legs before trying to balance herself once more. Her magic flickering again, and her sight with it, she gently set Theera down on the floor. Just as the pony was down, Forte's world went black around her, magic exhausted.

"P-please...save my...love..." She managed to say before her legs gave out and she tumbled to the floor, barely conscious and unable to see.

Serpent sighed as she dragged the earth pony off to a more... raised area. There was one thing that was as close to a bed as she could get: her coffee table. That was the one thing in her house she had hoped to keep blood-free. Well, turns out that it wouldn't.

Due to the fact that Serpent couldn't see any serious injuries on the pony, she decided to take a look inside, using a simple, albeit draining, spell to simply scan for injuries. The ones she did find were corrected with other magics, and Serpent soon found she was tapped out. Since she had repaired most of the wounds inside of her, all that was left was to use telekinesis to set her bones. Serpent promptly did so before moving to her chair and sitting in it, panting, looking at the earth pony for any further injury.

Then, something else came to her mind: the unicorn! She had completely forgotten about her. Standing, she felt woozy for a few moments before she made her way to the unicorn, hoofing her on the nose. "Hey. I did it. Are you okay?"

Forte barely even flinched when she was nudged, unable to use her senses to see the nudger, but able to tell it was the one helping them by the voice. Breathing heavy and labored from her exhaustion, she did her best to buster up the strength to reply to her fellow unicorn.

"As...as long...as she is...okay..." She replied in a faint voice, unable to move an inch, no matter how badly she wished to stand and give Theera's savior an embrace.

Serpent frowned at the unicorn before her. She was simply exhausted. Serpent sighed quickly as she lifted her onto her back, taking her to a nearby couch and lying her on it. "I'll be right back," she said as she went over the facts in her head.

One: this unicorn's magic field had failed shortly before she dropped to the ground. Two: this unicorn is also exhausted, period. Both denoted the magical sort of exhaustion the unicorn was probably experiencing. Serpent retrieved yet another leaf of the magic-restoring plant she somehow owned, and took it to the pony. If this was anything like the charcoal unicorn, she wouldn't be able to see for a short time. However, Serpent couldn't tell due to the glasses she wore. She decided to not care, and placed the leaf against the mouth of the unicorn on her couch. "Eat this. It'll help," she said in her most sincere tone, highly concerned for her well-being.

Unable to see just what was being held out to her, Forte decided to just trust the medic and carefully eat the offered leaf. After a few chews, the leaf was swallowed without a problem. "Thank you... miss." She replied quietly, doing her best to rest herself after all of the magical strain she had put onto herself. But most of all, she wanted to get enough strength back to see Theera's aura again. She just wanted to make sure it still had the glow of life in it. That she would be okay.

Theera waked up again. She felt Pain all over her body, but this time it was less than before. She felt, shewas lying on a hard ground. slowly she opened her eyes. She looked around. She saw she was lying on a Table in the middle of a living room or something. Then she saw Forte lying on a couch nearby. She tried to move, but she couldn´t. her body was to weak. silently she tried to call Forte "Forte? " She coughed "are... y...you okay?" It hurt to speak.

Serpent smiled softly at the other unicorn, moving her hoof through the unicorn's mane. She sighed, and replied to her: "It's no problem, hun," she said in her ever silken voice. There was another voice in the room now, from behind her. The earth pony had awoken, and was trying to speak. She turned around and looked down onto the earth pony.

"Ah, you're awake. Are you in pain?" she asked, hoping the unicorn would not try to reunite herself with her lover immediately. That was dangerous.

Forte instinctively moved her head to face Theera when she heard the voice, despite the gesture having to real use to her. A weak smile crept onto her muzzle, hardly noticeable but enough to show her relief to know that her lover was alright after the harsh fall she had gone through.

"Yes dear, I am fine. Knowing that you are still alive is all I need to be happy." She replied, much less concerned about her own condition.

Theera smiled for a short moment,but then contorted her face with pain "urgh.". The pain was everywhere in her body. "i am so sorry..." She said before looking to the other pony. "Yeah, it still hurts..., but i can bear it." She said before closing her eyes again to rest.

Serpent let out an exasperated exhalation. Everything was going well, and ponies weren't being insane. It was odd, but at least it was peaceful. She rose from her place beside Theera, moving back to her seat which faced the windows (And thus Theera, with Forte to her left), beginning to speak soon after. "Good... So long as everything's alright and you two don't decide to hurt yourselves..."

Forte did her best to focus on her aura magic, still too weak to successfully activate her spell and only succeeding in making a few sparks come from the end of her horn. She was still stuck in the blackness and unable to see. The lack of sight wasn't a bother for her, her inability to see Theera, however, seemed like torture to her.

She shifted ever to slightly on the couch as her legs began to get stiff and sore after all of the exercise her body wasn't used to getting. "Please do not apologize dear. You have done nothing wrong."

"Sure i have to apologize....*cough*.... I was the one walking up." she stopped for a moment to breathe. "I have brought us ...... into this situation, I am guilty for it....." Her body hurt when she spoke, but she tried to ignore ot. The table wasn´t much comfortable. She tried to move, but her body didn´t lete her "Nnngh..." She managed to move her foreleg a bit. She tried to reach forte, but she was too far away. "I´m so sorry for the latest events."

Forte slowly reached out toward the voice of Theera, unable to see how far away she was, but simply wanting to be near her. "Do not blame yourself for any of this. I know what you must have had running through your mind just then." She replied in a comforting tone. "Your injuries are...my fault... If only my magic was stronger...I could have stopped you from hitting the ground..."

Just as her words were spoken, a few tears slowly escaped past the unicorn's goggles and slowly rolled down her cheeks. "I am the one who should be sorry..."

Theera saw Fortes tears rolling down her cheek. "No, don´t cry....please." Then she couldn´t hold her self back and some tears began to form in her eyes. "You saved me before death, you don´t have to apologise." Theera ignored her hurting body and tried to cral a bit further to forte. "You never were responsible for this. its all my fault. I brought you here adn i am the one who sould be blamed. You´re innocent..." Theera tried again to reach forte with her hoof.

Forte slowly reached out farther toward Theera, her hoof slowly making contact with the earth pony's. "I love you too much to allow you to blame yourself for anything that has happened here tonight. I would cross deserts, mountains, seas, even the emptiness of space just for the chance to see you happy and safe." She replied in a quiet voice as tears continued to slowly roll down her cheeks. "You were the one to teach me that I couldn't make it solely on my own. I need you by my side, Theera Dune."

Theera couldn´t put her emotion in words. She really felt bad invovling this innocent poor unicorn into her problems. tears rolled down Theeras face, when she felt the unocorns forleg. She would hug her immedietly, if she could, bu her body was too weak. The situation was killing her mind, not to hug the love of her live. "argh...." She still tried to get closer, even if this mean to fall off the table.

Forte's horn slowly sparked to life once more, the world of auras slowly flickering in front of her. Upon seeing the aura belonging to the pony of her heart, the unicorn slowly inched herself off of the sofa to get herself closer to Theera. She didn't care about her own condition in the slightest as she inched her way toward the table.

"Please, do not move too far. It can be a danger in your condition, dear..." She said quietly, slowly sitting herself up while forced to lean against the table to keep herself upright.

Theera turned her head to fortes new psition."I would rist everything for you...." Then kissed forte softly on her lips. Her body felt warm and the pain wasn´t that bad anymore. She hugged forte with her forleg.

Forte slowly returned the kiss that was placed onto her lips, draping a gentle foreleg around Theera while taking care to avoid any sore spots. "I will never leave your side. Until the world ends and even after it does, I will be right there with you."

"Me niether..... you are anything i still have in this dark world. You are the light which brings brightens my live." she said. tears drop from her cheeks to the ground. "I´m still...so ......sorry....." Theera said before getting unconscious again.

"You are the one thing that is keeping me going in this dark world..." Forte replied quietly, slowly running her hoof along Theera's mane once she sensed her slip into unconsciousness once more. "Sleep well...desert princess..."
