Information leakage[dated][private]

Some time has passed since Jack and Prism left the Steelhoof bar and they finally reach the border of the eastern district. In front of them the hilly fields of the outskirts extend in the warm orange of the lowering November sun.



Jack stayed silent for the most time as they walked through the eastern district. The risk that someone could hear their conversation was too high, but now they're in a more open space, where spies would have a hard time to stay unseen. Jack slightly decreases his walking speed. He wants to collect some more information, before he guides Prism to his home. "So, you were a Captain,huh?" he asks. "Under which colonel did you serve?"

Prism walked on Jacks right side so he could keep his good eye watch the area around him. Jack had keep quiet and so had Prism, he didn't know these streets that well and where was safe so would wait for Jack to start talking.

"I am" he corrected Jack, "No one as retired me and I haven't left" he pause for a moment to think back, "last Colonel was Rocky Boulder at the defence of Manehattan" His voice trailed off with the word of Manehattan as he remember the final day of the battle and having to order troops to stay behind so the rest could get away.

Jack nods. He's kinda surprised that the griffons didn't kick him out or even worse. Maybe Prism was lucky and they just forgot him. "Must have been a brutal battle on the streets." Jack says and looks over to Prism's eye. "Did you lost your eye in that battle?"

"It was bloodier and the Griffon's paid for the city that was for sure" He said with a smile, knowing that they did pay a high price for the city.

"My eye.....No" his voice changed it lost a lot of the happiness it had just had "I lost it much earlier in the war at Trottingham trying to save who ever I could after the shield failed and they just started to kill everything that wasn't a Griffon." He knew that was only part of the story but hoped what little there was would do for now he didn't like rethinking about what happened that day

Jack lets out a sigh. "The battle of Canterlot was one of the bloodiest battle I've seen." he says and makes a little pause as he thinks back."Well, beside the final battle. That was the bloodiest butal I've seen or maybe it's just because it was the only battle I actually fought as a soldier. The battles before I was only in the headquartes and helped the majors with their plans." Jack chuckles slightly. "And that as just a sergeant."

"Well...after a time Ranks just went out the window you did what you was good at" he said knowing full well if they had won the war he would of been a lot higher rank himself.

"You was there for the final battle as well, you must have been part of the flying unit. I lead the ground forces." He stopped to think "I have no idea how I got out alive last think I can remember is making it into the castle grounds with the few that made it with me, next think I know it’s two weeks later and I am in some zebra’s bed. He stopped for a moment before adding "I should of die that day"

"So you were part of the planning team you ever give out orders to the guerrilla units in the Buffalo lands?" He asked wanting to see if this pony could of been one of them faceless pony's they use to curse when where behind Griffons line.

"Well, I was more in a combined arms part. Where air and ground units worked together to keep each other safe. I coordinated a small squad. My best friends were in that squad." Jack sighs. "I miss those bastards." he says with a chuckle. "The buffalo lands?" Jack says and makes a short pause, thinking. "No, at that time we tried to defend Baltimare. We lost the city after we ran out of supplies."
Jack and Prism reach a field road. At the end of that field road they can see the outline of the farm and at this point Prism gained enough of Jack's trust, that he'll let him stay at his farm. He turns into that field road and asks. "Why do you ask? What happened there?"

Prism could see the farm, it wouldn't be long now till in was safe or walked into a well placed trap but nothing he couldn't handle.

"Well that's when I was given the commanded of 4th GWU. I was one of six units that stall the Griffons long enough so buffalo and pony were able to get out. After that my eight pony team started to hit supple lines and taking out high ranking officers if we could. Spent a lot of time hiding waiting to attack, few close calls." He smiled they were good time and working as a small unit doing hit and run attack where a lot better the all out combat.

"I never worked with any of the air units at least not in any direct way other than seeing them in the larger battles I took place in" he said as he looked around Jack's farmland.

"You will get used to it, if you join the rebels. Earth ponies, unicorns and pegasi have to work in squads, if they want to have a chance agains the griffons." Jack says and makes once more a pause, before he speaks again. "I already gave you some information about me, but do you have still some questions about me?"

"I am use to working with others there was four earth pony's in my unit but it would be good to work with pegasi for once" He said still looking around.

"Well any question I have would be about the rebels and I have the feeling you don't want to share too much for now" He said looking over at Jack. This Pegasus history didn't matter to him that much. "But if you feel like sharing anything I will listen, but I am not really one for social chats."

Jack notices that Prism seems to be nervous. Even if there is no reason to be nervous, Jack can understand it and he likes it that Prism isn't one of those naive ponies, who trust everypony. "Well, I may answer you, if the answer won't reveal any sensible information. So, what do you want to ask?"

Prism through for a moment there was number of question that was going through his mind and most of them he knew he wouldn't get an answer because he wouldn't answer them as well.

Then a question jump to his mind, "You got a good blacksmith in your underground?" he asked. There hadn't been one in the village where he was staying but if one was here that would make him happy.

Jack nods. "Yeah, we have a blacksmith." he says and pulls his knife out of the sheath. "He made this beautiful thing." he says and shows Prism his knife. Jack puts it back into the sheath as they reach his farm and says. "Here we are. Welcome to my little farm." He walks to the front door and enters the house."Just follow me I'll show you the room." Jack says to Prism and walks upstairs to the guest room. "You can just relax for the rest of the day or explore the surroundings. I don't like to do hard work, if I had a drink. It's just to risky."

He smiled when he saw the knife and nodded his head when he saw it making a note where Jack pulled it from when he placed it back into its sheath.

Prism scanned the room as he went in. listen to Jack talk he followed him up the stairs just looking around the room. Making sure he knew where windows and doors were as well as objects like tables and chairs. "It will be good to get this load off my back and be somewhere I can relax" he said has he looked around the room he was staying in.

Jack walks back downstairs into the kitchen and makes him something to drink. The day is kinda lost for him and he decides to read a book. He still hasn't finished that book about basic combat training and reads it untill the evening.
After a long reading session he closes the book and yawns. "Time for my bed" he murmurs and walks upstairs to the bathroom. After he brushed he falls onto his bed, staring at the ceiling. Actually he hasn't a problem with the stranger in his house, because Jack is his key to the rebellion and killing him would be very dumb.After some time Jack falls asleep.

Prism waited for Jack to leave before relaxing a little. He removed his heavy brown coat and put it onto the bed. He saw a mirror and walked over to it and looked at himself.
He was clearly tried the walk to Manehattan had been a long one and he hadn't got much sleep on the road and now he was relaxing at last it was all hitting him at once. He turned to his side to look at what he had been hiding under his coat the whole time his armour. It had seen better days with parts of it missing parts broken off and cracks in a few places from last battle he had worn it in four years ago.

He used his magic to start to remove the armour and placed it quietly to one side and then covering it with his coat before making his way to the bed. He then moved a chair under the door handle so that it couldn't be opened. Just as he was about to get into bed and sleep he remembered his host was a Pegasus and saw a large wardrobe using telekinesis he moved it to block the window, if anyone tried to get in the noise would wake him up first.

He then climbed into a nice bed something he was very glad for and very soon drifted off to sleep.

Jack wakes up about sixish. He streches himself as he stands up and shuffles down to the kitchen, where he prepares the wood powered stove. After he lit the wood in the stove, he puts a pot with water on it. With a long yawn he shuffles back upstairs to the bathroom.
He looks into the mirror and a grey stallion with half closed eyes and eye rings stares back. He lets out a sigh and starts to wash his face and then brushes his teeth. As he trots back to the kitchen he stops in front of Prism's room and knocks loudly on the door. "Wake up, Sir! We have a lot of work to do today!" he says, almost yells to wake up Prism. He doesn't check if the door is open and just simply trots back into the kitchen, where he makes some coffee.

With his early night Prism had woken early and had started to do his morning exercisers. He was about half way thought them when He hard Jack shouting from the other side of the door.

"Be down in a moment" He called back. He finished a few more push ups before walking to the door and removing the chair that he placed there last night he left his coat and amour in the room he wouldn't be needed them to fix a roof and would only get in the way and it would do his scares to get some air. He then made his way down stairs to find Jack in the kitchen.

"How do you like your coffee?" Jack asks as Prism enters the kitchen and puts bread, butter and some cherry jam onto the table. "Take a seat." he says with a friendly smile. "We need to have some energy for the day and what gives you more energy than a good breakfast?" he adds.

"Black" He said as he walked into the kitchen and taken a seat at the table.

Prism smiled at the comment that Jack said "Not much else" He said knowing some good food would do him good as he had hardly eaten at all yesterday.

"What's the plan after we fixed that roof?" He asked as he started to help himself to the food that was on the table.

Jack gives Prism a cup with hot coffee. "Well, I hope we are finished with the roof about noon and then we gonna pick up Blackwing and Zero from the bar and walk together to the Undermarked. There you probably meet our leader. I can't promise that he'll be there when we arrive, but he'll show up at some point." Jack says and smears some butter and jam onto his bread. "But before we can do that we need to fix the roof." he says and takes a bite from his sandwich.

Prism was already on his second sandwich when Jack had finished telling him what the plan was he finished his mouth full

"Well give me a chance to look around the Undermarked. I am guessing it's in the old sewer system" He asked going by the name and what he knows of the city when he was last here. He picked up his mug of coffee.

Jack nods and takes a sip from his coffee. "Yep, it's in the underground. There are several entrances spread over the city." He finishes his first bread and quickly makes another one. "But we should get working now, so we are finished at noon. First we need to remove the old and damaged roof shingles and then you gonna levitate the new shingles up and I place them on the right spot. That's it." he says and eats his second sandwich.

He finished his coffee "Blaa... forgot how bad it tasted" He placed the mug down and picked up the rest of his sandwich "We used the system to setup ambushes and get behind the Griffons a few time" He went back to his sandwich finish it off.

"Sounds easy enough I am sure it will be done by noon" he said relaxing in the chair letting the food he just hovered up go down. He was so use to having to eat fast it was the only way he could eat now.

Jack chuckles. "Then you probably know the underground better than me. I just could memorize one way from the nearest entrance to the HQ." Jack finishes his sandwich and quickly drinks the now just warm coffee. "Then lets get started." he says and stands up. Jack puts the two cups into the sink. "I'll go up to the roof and just kick the old shingles down. So watch your head down there." he says with a chuckle. "You'll find the new shingles in the barn." he adds as he leaves the kitchen and walks outside.
Once outside Jack stretches again and flies up to the leaking spot of the roof, starting to remove the old shingles.

Prism Smiled as he got up "I don't think so was over ten years ago when I was last down there"

He listens to Jack. "I got you" He said as they made their way outside and he watch Jack fly up to the roof. Prism looked around for a barn what he easily spotted. He walked over to the barn and walked in looking for shingles.
It didn't take too long to find them among the framing equipment. He moved a few items out of the way so there was a clear path. Wrapping his telekinesis around the shingles and started to float them out of the barn with ease.

He walked back to the house where he could see Jack kicking the old shingles down. He placed the new once to one side so they wouldn't be hit and shouted up to Jack "Ok... I got the new once, you need a hand up there?"

Jack laughs. "Not yet. This is the fun part." he says and kicks some shingles down. After a while he has thrown down all the damaged shingles and the yard in front of his house is covered in the red dust of the shingles."So!" Jack shouts down. "Now you can levitate the first shingles up to me."

Prism watched as Jack kicked down all the shingles he got the feeling that he wasn't going to be doing all that much. When he called down once again he looked up.

He nodded and sent the first of the many shingle up to Jack. He had the feeling that all he would be doing is sending them up but he is getting paid for this so at least that was something and after this would get to the underground as well. When he had time in the middle of levitating shingles to Jack he cleaned up the yard.

The sun raises higher as they slowly reach noon. Thanks to Prism's help Jack can place the new shingles rather quickly. After Jack places the last shingle on the right place, he flies back down and lands next to Prism. Hovering at the same spot for a few hours was quiet exhausting and Jack stretches his wings."I could need something to drink now." he says with a wink.

Prism wasn't feeling that exhausting using telekinesis wasn't something that would normally strain him that much. "Well I won't have anything to drink, want to keep a clear head" He said watching Jack stretch his wings

Jack chuckles. "There's nothing wrong with one little drink and we have to go to the bar anyway to pick up Zero and Blackwing." he says and suddenly his stomache grumbles. Jack laughs. "And I need some launch. So, grab anything you need and we'll go."

Prism nodded "I will be back shortly" He said as he walked back into the house making his way up to the bed room he stayed in. He pulled off his brown coat to see his amour under it still, he question himself for only a moment if he should take it before brushing it side and using his telekinesis he got his amour on in good time before putting on his large brown coat. Making sure his amour was covered he made his way back down stairs to find Jack waiting for him.

"Ready when you are" He said when he saw the other stallion

Jack nods and says."Then lets go." He trots the way back into the city they came from yesterday, heading to the Steelhoof bar.
