The seed of darkness[dated][private]

Forte remained asleep for some time after Theera had gotten out of the bed due to the lack of noise, not having moved from the position she was in when she fell asleep. After a few moments, the blankets began to cool and reveal Theera's leaving.

The unicorn's horn sparked lightly with magic, signaling the activation of her sensing spell as she sat up. Forte slowly scanned the room with her senses, until spotting the aura of her marefriend. It was green so everything seemed alright, even if the shade was a tad darker than she would prefer.

"Theera, is everything alright?" She asked in her usual monotone voice, leaving her goggles hanging on the headboard of the bed for the time being. "You did not have another nightmare, did you?"

As She splashed the cold water into her face, Theera heared Fortes voice. "Its okay, its over now" she said with a bit monotone voice as usual. The she walked back to the bed. "I hope i didn´t woke you up." She asked forte as she lied down in the bed. then she slowly huged her marefriend to get sur enothing was wrong.

Forte slowly placed her head back onto the pillow as Theera rejoined her in the bed, slowly draping her foreleg over the earth pony to give her a light hug as well.

"No, you did not wake me. I merely worry about you, my love." She replied, voice still betraying the sincerity of the words that were spoken. "I simply wish to see you okay."

Theera felt the hug, which felt very good. She was happy that Forte was there and cared for her. "and i just want to see you happy.." She replied before giving Forte a slight kiss. Then she closed her eyes and tried to sleep again. She hoped she would dream something better this time....

Forte returned the kiss with a gentle one of her own. Lightly hiding her face in Theera's warm fur, she deactivated her spell to try and return to sleep as well.

"Goodnight dear. I wish you many pleasant dreams." She said in a quiet voice while pulling Theera that might closer to her, as if to protect her.

Theeras body warmed as Forte pressed herself against Theera. With Forte aside this close she thought she wouldn´t have to fear anything.... But her dreams teached her the opposite

As Theera opened her eyes, she sxpected the next morning. She looked over and wondered where Forte would have gone, since she wasn´t lying in bed anymore. Theera climbed out of the bad and looked around. The place she woke up wasn´t the place she got to bed, but it was similar to her. after a bit of thinking she knew where she was.... it was her old room in pyrreha. She slowly walked out of it and found herself in a destroyed corridor. The roof was completely destroyed and most of the building had collapsed. The weather was windy and caused a small sandstorm. Theera started to frown, which was normally not possible in the desert, even in the hardest storms. She walked down the corridor till she reached the front door of the house. She walked through it. and found herself in the completely destroyed Pyrreha. "How did i get here" she asked herself. Then a big shadow in form of a griffon build up in front of her. The shadow tried to attack her but theera jumped asside and ran through the streets. The shadow was fast and followed her all the way.

Theera struggled around. her head moved from side to side. and she mumbled something silently.

Forte slept soundly for the most part, content with being able to simply hold onto Theera to get her warmth in the cold night. The unicorn didn't stay asleep for long, however, and was soon roused out of her sleep by the mild motions that were coming from the earth pony next to her. She slowly sat up in the bed after removing her face from the warm nest that was her lover's neck fur.

With a gentle hoof, Forte nudged the dreaming pony in an attempt at waking her up from her restless sleep.

"Dear... Please wake up." She said quietly while putting just a touch more force into the motion. "Are you having another nightmare?"

Theera didn´t feel the nudge of Forte, neither she realized it was just a dream.

The Shadow was still right behind Theera as she ran through the city. even if the shadow had the form of a griffon, it mooved not on the claws o with its wings, it just was like it was hovering over the ground. Theera had some problems finding the right ways through the colapsed buildings and dirty streets. as she turned around the next corner she found hersel on the big market place in front of the Tempel. She catched a breath while loking behind. the shadow seemed to be disappeared. "theeeeeee-raaaaaa" said a voice from over the temple in a whispering voice. "Theee-raaa" she heard it again, but as she looked into the direction, she was not able to see anything. out of a sudden, the huge tempel doors opened and out of the door a pony walked towards Theera. It started to get misty around the place. "Theera, why you don´t where there when we needed you the most.." The pony said with the same whispering voice. "Wha- what?" Theera said. She was very frightened. "Where were you, when we all lost our lives..?" The pony asked again. Theera looked around when out of the mist more and more ponies appeared. Their coats were in different gray types and their eyes where shining deeply red. As Theera turned back to the asking pony it stood directly in fron of her, not more than 1 inch fro her face. "Where were you!" The voice screamed in a very high tone.

when Theera woke up her body raised in the Bed, as she catched a huge breath, like she werent able to breathe minutes before. tears were in her eyes and sweat run down from her fore head.

Forte leaned back a little bit as Theera sat up in the bed. She placed a gentle off on her lover's back in and attempt at helping her calm down. Pausing for a moment, she finally spoke.

"Theera, dear, it was simply another dream. Everything is alright." The blind mare replied calmly while moving her hoof in slow circles around Theera's back. "I cannot believe somepony such as yourself has to see these horrible images every night... You have done nothing to deserve it."

Theera tried to alm down but her heart was beating faster then ever. She needed a few moments till she realized she was in the bed with forte. "I.....I was... It was..." It was hard for her to find the right word. "It was like i was there. it just was so real there." Theera said, not believeing it was just a nightmare. "i was in Pyreha.... and this shadow and all those ghost ponies.....This gone far over the border of a normal dream..." Theera grasped herself at Forte. Tears running down her cheeks. "I don´t want to sleep again. please, hlp me."

Forte slowly wrapped her forelegs around her marefriend, slowly squeezing her to hold her closer and protect her. Continuing to gently rub Theera's back, the teal unicorn did her best to help her feel safe.

"I cannot imagine how hard it must be to keep seeing these images... But you simply cannot be without sleep... You will eventually kill yourself." Forte stated in a sad tone, a few tears beginning to pool inside her empty eye sockets as she started to cry with the mare she cared so much for.

"I...I wish I could help you..."

Theera enjoyed the hug. Her body was exhausted from the stress. "I know I need to sleep, but this isn`t a form of resting for me anymore." she stopped the hug and stepped out of the bed. "This night i wont sleep anymore. its to frightened." She took a small blanket and wrapped herself in it. "I´ll be outside. catching some fresh air. you can sleep for now without any disturbing of me." Theera said as she walked over to the entreance of their home. Theese were no normal dreams anymore. Something weird was happening with her and she didn´t know what it was. She had to find out, but not at this night, now she only wanted to get forte some sleep.

Forte trained her senses onto Theera as the earth pony left the bed, quietly 'staring' at her lover while she left the room. Not saying a word, she simply stared at the open doorway while staying seated on the bed. She wanted to help Theera, but she didn't know what a blind mare such as herself could do to fully help somepony in her situation.

"Theera..." Was all that left her lips, the name barely audible and just falling to the floor.

The wind blow through Theeras hair as she stood at a wall near the netrance. The sky was clear and Theera looked into the stars. She thought how she could find out more about her nightmares. She never had something like this before. May she should visit a therapist, but what should they do? In pyrehha she would have gone to the archives and asked libarian, but this wasn´t possible anymore. She just had to admit that she was lost in her own mind and he only way to escape was the tortue of satying awake...

Forte slowly stood from the bed after not too long. She wouldn't be able to get back to sleep knowing Theera was having those troubles running through her head. Taking a deep breath, the unicorn slowly moved out of the bedroom and towards the exit of the home.

"Dear... This is about more than just a bad dream... Is it not?" She asked quietly, allowing those words to be the first indication that she was there. "You know there is not anything you cannot tell me."

Theera looked over to forte and offered her a place besides he runder the blanket, so she wouldn´t freeze. "I know, its just, i don´t want to bother you with my problems." She knew forte would help her, but this porblem seemed too complicated for her.

Forte slowly moved under the blanket with Theera, placing a gentle foreleg over her lover's shoulders. Keeping her 'gaze' forward, she put the full focus of her senses onto Theera's form.

"You can never bother me with your problems, dear. I love you. I only wish to see you happy. Even if I am unable to see your smile, I wish to know that it is there." She replied quietly, voice seeming to soften just a touch.

"Thanks" Theera said as she moved the blanket around them. "Its just so complicated. I see things which can´t be existing, but the dream feels way more realistic than normal dreams, like i would really be there..." She presed herself a bit more against forte.

Forte stayed silent for a few moments before slowly turning her head to face Theera, placing a gentle kiss upon the tan pony's cheek.

"I know they must be terrifying images to see... But they are still just that. Images in your mind. They are not real." The unicorn said quietly, trying her best to help her marefriend calm down, if just a little bit. "I wish I could do more to help you... Must I have no power over dreams..."

"Its okay, you do what you are able to do and thats fine." Theera said as one thought came up to her mind. " My sister!" She asid, "She was able to show me the pictures she has sawn and maybe she can see what i dream and can help me....... or maybe she´s the reason for this. we have to find her. she could knew what to do." Theera had mixed feelings by this. On one hoof her sister could helpe her , on the other hoof she could be the reason for the nightmares.

Forte gave her head a slow nod before turning her head forward once more. "Do you know where she could possibly be?" She asked quietly while inching just a bit closer to Theera to get warmer. "I can read her aura to at least check if her reactions to your questions make her nervous, which could mean she is telling a lie."

Theera shaked her head "I don´t think she did it on purpose, it seemed more liek an accident maybe. and no i have no clue where she is, but i guess we will find her...tomorrow, you should rest this night, since we need someone who is fit for it. and i can not be it." She said as she slowly started to walk with forte to the netrance again. "I will just wait and watch you while you sleep..."

"I will do my best to help you search for her, even if I cannot make out the details of anypony." Forte replied calmly as she stood up and made her way for the door to the home with Theera.

"I cannot do that." She stated bluntly once inside the warmer house. "I will not be able to sleep knowing you are troubled in such a way."

"Thanks, but you have to sleep. when i´m not this fit tomorrow you have to be. also i´m more troubled when i try to sleep, so its better for me not to." Theera sat down in the front of the bed. "its simply better if even one is fit. than no one of us.."

Forte kept her expression neutral as she moved up to the bed, climbing onto it to sit down. "I mean it, dear. I will not sleep with you having such troubles right now. I will sacrifice my health for you if I must." She replied, a hint of worry managing to color her otherwise bland voice. "You are more important to me than anything else in this world."

"Well i guess then we´ll have a long night in front of us" Theera said as she realized she couldn´t change fortes opinion. "So what are we going to do then?

"I do not know, all I care about is keeping you company." Forte replied simply while remaining her her seat in the bed. Shifting ever so slightly, she turned her senses around the room in search of something that could be used to pass the time. "Maybe we could speak about what is troubling you? It is not beneficial to allow your emotions to build up inside of you."

Theera looked to the ground."You really want to hear it right?" She took a big breath. "Well its simply the fact, that i fear to loose you, since ou are the last thing i have in this cruel world..." She said while she slowly sat down at the bed. "I don´t want to loose the only thing that means something to me" She was saying with tears in her eyes. She huged forte. "please... never leave me..."

A few tears slowly welled up, slowly pooling inside her empty eye sockets while she listened to what was told to her the the pony she loved so much. She gently returned the hug, slowly running her hoof along Theera's back. "I would never leave you, dear. You are far too important to me to simply leave alone. You have become a piece of me."

"Its not that I fear you would leave me by yourself. The vision shows me that you would get taken away or be killed. and it feels so real. thats the reason i die a bit everytime i have to ee this horrible images..:" Theera clinged to forte.

Forte paused for a few short moments after hearing about the fear of something she had absolutely no control over. "...I see..." She replied quietly, the feelings of regret easily noticeable in her usually emotionless tone of voice. "I will do my best to keep myself safe for you... I swear on everything I will never leave your side."

Theera didn´t say anything, she just hugged Forte and stayed in this position. She felt Fortes heartbeat and every breath, which calmed her.. Theera wouldn´t allow anybody to harm Forte. But she couldnt defend her forever, and since this bightmares she wasn´t able to sleep well, so she wasnt so fit at day... "I wish i could promise to defend you..." She made a pause before she looked into Fortes goggles "But i can´t. The nightmares prevent me from stayinfg alert...."

Forte kept her senses trained on the face of Theera. Even if she wasn't able to make out any of the features upon that face, it was still the face she loved and cared for deeply.

Pulling Theera in closer to her, Forte held the mare close to her heart; the one part of her that was still able to speak its emotions. "Then I will try my best to stay safe, for you. As well as defending you when you need it most." She replied calmly, her heart rate seeming to increase by just a touch as her worries about Theera's well-being with these dreams took their toll on her.

Theera pressed forte over onto the bed, gave her a kiss and said "You should try to sleep... even if you don´t want" She lied next to forte and huggling her. "I will try to sleep too, but i can´t promise i wont wake up in a few minutes..." She didn´t wanted to sleep, but she had to turn forte to sleep. Forte needs the sleep even more, since she needs magic to see at day.. Theera gave Forte a kiss and closed her eyes. "good night."

Forte held Theera close while laying in the bed with her, returning the kiss that was offered to her as she stopped the use of her aura spell. She didn't want to go to sleep as long as Theera was still awake, but did her best to relax anyway. Keeping her lover to so close helped to quell her worries, even if it was just a little bit.

"Goodnight, dear..."

Theera slowly fell asleep, and against her exeptions she didn´t had nightmare. She just dreamed nothing......

A few hours later, Forte quietly stirred from her sleep. She was still holding THeera closely, able to feel the warmth of her lover in her grasp. The unicorn kept her senses off for the moment as she simply allowed her body to catch up with its self and get ready for her waking period.

She didn't say a word to wake Theera, simply holding onto her; not wanting to interrupt what seemed to be a rare peaceful sleep for the earth pony.

Theera slowly woke up and opened her eyes. She was happy about getting a few hours of sleep. "morning" she said to Forte and gave her a kiss. Today they should have to find Neferi, Theeras sister. because she maybe knows what to do against those nightmares.

"Good morning, dear." Forte replied quietly as she slowly removed her forelegs from around Theera. Slowly sitting up, she fixed her goggles that had shifted ever so slightly during her sleep. "I am glad to see you were able to get some sleep. Even if it was just a little."

"Yeah, but i hope it had given me enough power for today." Theera stood up out of the bed. She went to the sink and made herself ready. "I have no clue where to start searching for my sister.... do you know someone who knows the city and probably could know where to search?" Theera asked.

"Unfortunately, I do not know anypony of that sort." Forte replied simply while climbing out of the bed herself, unable to truly ready herself for the day for an obvious reason. "There are probably ponies who know this city like the back of their hooves, but tracking somepony down is much more different than that."

"mh, we should start at the townhall, mabye someone there can help us." Theera said as she went over to forte. "ready to go?" She asked

Unable to see the mild mess her mane was in from sleeping, Forte gave a simple nod as a reply. "Yes, let us go. Even if they cannot truly help us, it is still worth a try at the very least." She replied simply. "Maybe luck could decide to be on our side for a change and allows us to meet her there."

"maybe.." Theera said as she walked over to Forte and corrected her mane. "NOW we can go" She said with a smile. She walked over to the entrance and skipped through the hole in the wall to the outside. The weather was mild.

"Thank you, dear." Forte replied calmly before following Theera out of the home. Even if it was just a little thing, she appreciated the help with herself she received from Theera almost every day. Nopony had bothered to help her before.

Activating her senses, the unicorn looked around her in case a hostile aura could be seen. "Lead the way please, dear." She said quietly once everything seemed safe.

Theera took the lead. The two ponies made her way out of the park into the downtown, to go to the townhall. They hoped to get some informations to Theeras sister Neferi.
