Demetrius B. Powder [Pegasus]

Name: Demetrius B. Powder (Black Powder for short.)
Species: Pegasus
Gender: Male
Age: 21
Occupation: As far as everybody knows, the former pyrotechnician has been hired as a simple handypony... And he's also been seen working in a clandestine brothel on weekends.
Vices: Prideful, Unforgiving, unfeeling can be slightly pervert on the sides too. (Though, nothing too serious, don't worry, I read the rules, nothing mature, pinkie promise.)
Special Talent: Anything that revolves around explosives and combustion.
Minor Talents: Good cook, good handyman, has lots of charisma. Knows how to dance... even better if there's a pole somewhere pffhehehe.
Alignment: Rebel, but keeps it a secret, even to other ponies. As far as everyone know, he’s perfectly neutral. A simple law abiding citizen.

Personality: Demetrius is what could be compared to a "wildcard". His charming behavior and ability to connect with other easily makes him very approachable and likable. He's comprehensive, knows how to keep secrets and seems very empathic. Hard to bring down and able to keep his head up even in the worst of times.

Though, all this is but a facade... or rather, one facet that represents his whole self; recent events with the griffins didn't leave him completely unscathed, mentally speaking. Seeing everything as joke and games when faced with adversity, mixed with a serious case of repressed sociopathy and near-infinite despite toward the whole world, Griffins more specifically, his likable and near-cuddly exterior can quickly turn into one of a cold-blooded assassin that seems to take way too much pleasure in his actions than he should.

Long story short, don't get on his badside. And if you're a griffon, better keep yourself away from him. Of course, he won't lash out at you directly for having a beak and feathers, but your experience with him would be comparable to taking a morning jog on a minefield. Thread carefully.


History: Demetrius was born in Cloudsdale with a loving father and mother, a typical family with nothing too special. They weren't rich, they weren't poor, they weren't living in a castle and obviously weren't living in a cardboard box either. His dad took care of weather management while her mom would work as a snowflake crafter. Both of them would take care of him, taking days off and adjusting their schedule to take care of him like any parents would.

Old enough he eventually would be sent to school... then flight school. Pretty smart and ingenious, he'd go through exams with above the average results, especially science, chemistry in particular.

As time went on, growing older, Demetrius would find himself to be a pitiful flier; his scores were far below average, though, not because he lacked skills or suffered any sorts of handicaps that prevented him from performing properly, but rather because of his lack of motivation and will. Reality was catching up on him and the idea of spending nearly his whole life working in the clouds like all the other pegasi depressed him beyond measures.

Growing older still and now mature enough to take a job, Demetrius, still blank flanked, would try pretty much everything he could that didn't required any flight school diploma, which ended up to be mostly factory labors. Not failing miserably but obviously far from the perfect employee.

It's only one day when attending to a pegasus race in Cloudsdale's stadium that something would finally spark his interest. Fireworks. He wouldn't put his hoof on it yet, but something about bright, colorful and loud explosions managed to bring a smile on his face like he haven’t in... forever. Catching the pyrotechnicians right after the show, he’d manage to get himself the references he needed. Manehattan was his next stop; apparently a small shop was hiring there in firework creation and manufacturing.

Things went smooth and Demetrius learned awfully fast, already he would come up with his own designs and concepts and create real work of arts after having learned only but the basics. Everything else was nearly completely instinctual. It only took him about a week to earn his cutie mark as he had finally found his vocation. His parents weren’t especially proud of him; both of them expecting their son to do something entirely different and obviously more expected for a pegasus, but they couldn’t hold a grudge against him for long either... at least he was successful in whatever he was doing and finally found happiness.

Though, it’s only when his life finally began to stabilize that the Griffin incident took place, turning his dream world into a real, living nightmare. Both his parents were slew, same for his friends and even his employer and co-workers. Everything he once knew literally crumbled into ashes, throwing him into a profound delirium that nearly took the better of him. Barely managing to swallow this whole thing down and bottling it up, having no one to talk, his mind would eventually shatter itself into a complete mess of utter rage and disbelief. It’s only now that he’d realize that all these explosive materials he had grew so found of could also be put into far more deadly and darker uses.

Now living in the underground depot of the firework shop, a Black Powder would find himself inventing all matters of things to bring down pain on those who brought his world down into a black void... and get a satisfactory smile out of it. So far his arsenal includes fuse bombs and his firework launcher. A.K.A his "hoofcanon".


((Alright, so I've been reading about the rules and found out that this place seems to be limited on modern weaponry, such as guns, flintlocks and the like. Hopefully the hoofcanon I've gave him isn't TOO much given the fact that this thing is huge, awkward to use and obviously not something you can hide on yourself. It's basically a way to launch bombs on a longer range, meaning I wouldn't be able to use it in the heat of a battle, inside a house, or in close quarter. Long story short, It's a metal pipe with handles, a boresight, and a hammer to trigger and launch the "re-purposed" fireworks which he throws in it. Not very complicated. If not approved, I guess I'll try and figure something out.))

Alrighty I will approve this only after you change the word ridiculous amount of explosives. Ponies have little to nothing in this universe. Sorry but you'll more than likely have to make your gunpowder etc. etc.
